Quarantine Survival Guide

hello hello all of you. I hope you all are doing well and following CDC guidelines (even though it may not be ideal) and staying safe. I wanted to put together a survival guide for those of you that feel as though you’re struggling since, personally, I’ve been thriving during this time.

have a routine.

It’s important to not stay up until wee hours of the night binging real housewives and sleeping in until 2 in the afternoon. I try and be in bed before midnight and wake up at 9 every day. It helps me stay productive & not feel like the days are all morphing together. Even though it’s totally fun to do that every once in a while.

start a hobby.

I know this is the most basic answer ever but it’s so true. Now is the perfect time to do something you’ve always wanted to do. Blog? Press publish. Podcast? Hit record. There’s literally no excuse and you’ll find yourself getting lost in it. Who knows. You get good enough & you could even make an income from it.

allow yourself to have lazy days.

This is something I really struggle with. I make checklists every day and would beat myself up if I didn’t finish everything but I’ve realized we have so much time that I don’t need to stress myself out over 2 things I didn’t get done. It’s okay to give yourself a day to watch netflix in bed and eat a bowl of buttered noodles. Use this time to relax!

get to that list you’ve been avoiding.

we all have those lists of things we don’t want to do around the house. Mine includes hanging up photos, cleaning out my closet & finally hiring someone to fix my dish washer. Get to those things you don’t want to do while you have the time. You’ll feel super accomplished for the smallest things!

try and stay positive.

I know this can be really hard but I truly wake up and try to be as positive as i can. Thankful that we have the luxury of having netflix and tik tok and food in my fridge. Most of us complain about work so really take this time and use it as your staycation.
