hi hi hi! I hope all of you are doing well and staying safe. I am so excited things are opening back up in Chicago and we are starting to get back to normal. I’ve been trying to break out of my quarantine funk by getting back into a routine and getting back in shape. I’m sure a lot of us lost any motivation or progress once we got into quarantine so I needed something to kick start my fitness journey again. That’s when I was SUPER excited to CrossTown fitness opening with really great safety measures.
I love how seriously CrossTown Fitness is taking safety when it comes to making sure we all stay healthy. Masks are required the entire time you’re in the building, even when you workout (trust me, it’s not as hard as you think). They have UV lights that you stand on to kill any bacteria on your shoes then immediately take your temperature when you walk in. You also get a personal sanitizer bottle (it’s small and cute) to wipe down all equipment in between every use. I really felt safe and comfortable knowing how seriously it was taken.
Alright let’s get into the class. This is hands down my favorite structure of a workout class I’ve ever received. I love the full body class and in that class you have 4 stations and you’re at each station for 8 minutes each doing as many reps as you can at your own pace. I love how motivating the trainers are and I really push myself. It’s the first workout class I’ve been to that feels like it flies by. I usually check the clock and die a little inside when I see that I’m only 20 minutes in but this class is IT.
Make sure you check out a class and if you go to the West Loop location make sure you take a class with Tom because he has the best playlists ever.
