My Skincare journey with #SpaDerma

hiii all of you! I hope you all are doing well and staying safe. I’m sure as all of you, self care has been a big focus this year. We are all cooped inside and some of of are focusing on self care while others are running out of shows on Netflix & Hulu. I try and find a good balance between the two and take care of myself but also give myself days to lounge and binge housewives.

One of my self care goals was to get my skin right. Now was the chance for me to experiment with skincare treatments and routines. I was so excited when SpaDerma and I teamed up to give me the skin of my dreams. We started with a VI Peel and I wanted to talk about it and share my experience with you all.

SpaDerma is a medical spa with multiple locations in the city. I personally visit the Lakeview Location and see Sam. They have a huge list of treatments and I absolutely recommend them. Mention my name for $50 off your service!

The service itself with quick and painless. We started by cleansing my skin. then went right in. All the peel is, is just a few layers of acids that will have a little bit of a tingle but Sam makes sure I’m comfortable before adding any more layers or stopping the treatment all together.

After the peel I left looking like a pumpkin (v much Fall vibes) and waited 4 hours to wash it off. I went to bed feeling and looking totally normal. Then I woke up feeling the same and the peeling didn’t really start until the evening of Day 1.

DAY 1.

DAY 2.

DAY 3.

DAY 4.

DAY 5

These were my worst days of peeling and when I woke up on day 5 my skin was super glowy and almost back to normal. Despite being a little dry, I just continued to moisturize extra until i felt like my skin was back to normal.

Overall, I loved the peel. It can be a little inconvenient peeling for a week but during these times you’re able to stay at home or cover it up with a mask when you go out. This was the first of my 6 peels so I will keep you all updated with my next treatment.

xx.
